Mark Phillips - Director

Mark is a director of Nikau Capital and has worked in the financial services sector since 1982, starting out as a credit manager before moving to Jarden & Co in the late 80’s to join their corporate finance and money markets division.

His career then led to him working for extended periods overseas in the Global Banking and Investment markets with a number of large international financial institutions, including BNZ London, National Australia Bank and Bear Sterns Singapore, which gives him a broad network of connections and the ability to bring a wider perspective to the table.

Mark’s approach is to establish, enduring relationships with clients from all walks of life, developing a genuine understanding of both their current position and their goals and aspirations, as part of providing advice to create financially sustainable outcomes.

His specialties are financial business & investment risk analysis, business strategy, and the structuring of complex transactions. He also has a passion for good independent business governance and the balance and longevity that this can bring to an organisation.

In recent years Mark has worked with a number of clients in roles including – Capital raising, fund structuring, product development, transaction facilitation, client relationship management (CRM) and negotiating exclusive product distribution agreements for USA, Canada and Russian Federation for an Australian based client.
